SR UNIVERSITY RESEARCH DATA USE AGREEMENT (DUA)

NOTICE: Final terms are subject to approval by SR University authorities.

By checking the agreement box and typing your full name below, you ("the Requestor") agree to enter into this DUA with SR University regarding the approved scientific dataset(s). You covenant and agree to the following terms:

1. Approved Scope of Use: The Requestor shall utilize the dataset files exclusively for the approved research project title, objectives, and methodology specified in this application. Any change in scope requires a new application.

2. Redistribution Restriction: The Requestor shall not copy, distribute, share, publish, or otherwise transfer the dataset files, in whole or in part, to any third parties without explicit prior written authorization from the SR University Research Dataset Repository.

3. Security Safeguards: The Requestor shall implement reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards (such as AES-256 encryption, access-controlled workstations, and firewalled institutional servers) to protect the dataset files against unauthorized access, loss, or leakage.

4. Prohibition of Re-identification: The Requestor shall make no attempt to identify, contact, or reverse-engineer the identity of any individual subjects, patients, or geographic participants represented in the dataset files.

5. Non-Commercial Use: The dataset files are provided solely for academic and non-commercial scientific research. Use for commercial gains, corporate product testing, or patent filings without a specific joint venture agreement is strictly prohibited.

6. Data Retention and Destruction: The Requestor agrees to delete or return all copies of the dataset files immediately upon project completion, request expiration, or upon official notice of revocation by the repository administrator.

7. Academic Acknowledgment: The Requestor shall properly acknowledge and cite the dataset and its principal investigators in any resulting publications, presentations, or theses, referencing the official Digital Object Identifier (DOI) provided.

8. Access Revocation: SR University reserves the right to immediately audit usage and revoke access for any violation of these terms, without prejudice to other legal remedies.

1. Who is eligible to request access to restricted datasets?

Dataset access is open to researchers, clinical investigators, faculty members, and students affiliated with accredited academic institutions, healthcare facilities, government bodies, or non-profit organizations. Undergraduate/graduate students must specify their Principal Investigator in their application.

2. What is the review process and timeframe?

Submissions are evaluated to verify data safety, alignment with the DUA guidelines, and scientific merit. Typical review cycles take between 3 to 5 business days. Once reviewed, you will receive an approval or rejection notice at your institutional email.

3. How do I download dataset files after approval?

Once your request is approved, you will receive an approval email. You can then sign in or register an account using the same institutional email address used in your request. Once logged in, visit the "My Access" dashboard to securely stream and download the approved dataset.

4. What are my compliance obligations under the DUA?

By signing the DUA, you agree to store files on secure servers, prevent any redistribution, refrain from attempting subject re-identification, and cite the dataset's unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) in any published results. Access may be revoked for violations.
